Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year holiday with a lot of food and time with your family (and hopefully model cars)!

2012 was a big year for us here at DMC.  We want to take the chance to highlight some of our big moments in 2012 and also look ahead into 2013:

Our 2012 Top 10 Moments:

10/ Visit to the famous Nurnberg Toy Fair - a dream event for any model car collector

9/ Our shop was mentioned by Model Car Magazine in Japan, our first ever magazine coverage outside of Hong Kong

8/ Our Facebook Page reaching over 5,000 Likes!

7/ Exclusive 64 scale model produced and designed for DMC: 2013 VW Beetle Turbo

6/ Exclusive model made for our Macau Grand Prix booth: 64 scale Pagani Huayra Bi-Color

5/ Desmond, Mandy, and Hilda joining the DMC team!

4/ We finally admit that "Daboxtoys" is too hard to pronounce so we are now calling ourselves DMC which stands for Daboxtoys Model Cars

3/ Our 1st selling booth at the historic Macau Grand Prix

2/ Our 1st-ever Greenlight exclusive edition: Honda Civic Si in a white "Type R" look

1/ After a 3 year effort, we finally became the official and sole distributor for Kyosho 1/64 models

and Looking ahead to 2013:

Our brand new office and our 1st physical shop in Hong Kong

We are targeting to move into our new office by end of Jan and with some luck the new shop will be up and running by late Feb or early March.  Customers will be able to come and look at our great models, pickup their online orders as well as join our monthly collector gatherings that will include model previews, free food, and free giveaways!  Our shop will be located in Room 601, Sea View Estate Block B, 4 Watson Rd, Hong Kong Island.

More special edition models

We did quite a few special edition models in 2012 and we are planning even more in 2013. We already have an agreement with IXO to do a 43 scale Toyota 86 with a white body, black front hood, and black rims and the 64 scale Porsche 911 "Gulf" version is also coming in Jan. We will continue our very successful special run program with Greenlight and the plan is to produce a special edition every 3-4 months.  There are also plans to work with more brands like TSM (TrueScale), BBR, and others to create more unique models.

Also look for a 10th anniversary model(s) as we celebrate our 10th year in the model car business!

More model car brands

AUTOart and Hot Wheels are on the top of our list and there are other brands that we are currently exploring such as Welly, Ebbro, and others.  We have re-started our relationship with PCT which means that we will have J-Collection, IXO, and Premium X models starting this month.

So 2013 will be yet another important year for us and we truly hope that we can bring more fun to the model car world, meet more collectors, host more events as we strive to be the best in the market because We Are Collectors, Too!
